Babies and Fruits

Ayub loves bananas. That boy doesn’t eat fruits or vegetables. Bananas are the only exception. He can down two in one sitting. Ohmnomnom. Once when he was close to two years old, he was eating a small banana (pisang emas), completely peeled, holding it in his little hand. He was about to take a bite, his mouth open, when a phone in the house started ringing. Ayub paused, completely stunned, slowly he looked down at his banana, put it at his ear and said “…hello?” It was so cute and funny I just couldn’t help but laugh. He’s such a sensitive kid, he threw the banana at me and refused to eat the rest of it.

Sulaiman on the other hand, at 8 months old, is at that phase where everything and anything goes into his mouth. He loves trying new food and flavours. He’s especially fond of watermelon. He’ll suck and nibble on pieces of watermelon when I offer it too him. I noticed it during our office family day. It was a hot sticky day. Ah Sulaiman.
