BOOTCAMP!

For December, Pagi Rock Crew decided to fulfill unfulfilled New Years’ Resolutions of 2011. The vast majority of entries I received were from people who had wanted to lose weight/get fit and hadn’t been able to.

So I contacted Simran from Bootcamp Malaysia to arrange a training session for our lovely listeners who so badly wanted to be fit and sexy.

That’s Simran. He’s scary. But Adam, my brother, who works out three times a week with him, insists that’s he’s nice.

Out of the 30+ people who wrote into the Pagi Rock Crew stating that they needed help losing weight, 12 people confirmed that they were able to attend bootcamp, and that they were SUPER excited. I called them a week in advance. And then again the morning before that evening’s session.

I told Simran how excited our listeners were. He said he was going to give out 100 vouchers worth RM299 each to everyone so they could join Bootcamp for a month for free.

That evening, at 6.15pm, Hafiz, Nadia, Prem and I met up at Padang Astaka for the Bootcamp session. As the trainers set up the apparatus, we waited. And waited. And waited. Out of the 12 who confirmed attendance, two showed up. TWO!! Lazy asses. No wonder their resolutions never got fulfilled. LAZY ASSES!!

Nadia wasn’t interested in joining so she purposely came in jeans, slippers and a little girly top. Simran was not impressed.

I didn’t take anymore pictures because Simran is scary. I was worried my boys were going to die. Hafiz had already worked out with his personal trainer Jerrican for Men’s Health Malaysia and both had been awake since 4am. But they were awesome. And survived.

Yu Len lives and works in Kajang and managed to drive all the way to PJ after work just to make the Bootcamp. Meanwhile, Fitri took the day off and was the first to arrive at the field, even earlier than the trainers.

The next day we called some of the absentees on air and Hafiz shamed them. It was funny. I like it.
