I Got Rejected By Upwork Three Times And Now I’m Sad

So I used to write freelance for Elance back in the day and things were going alright.

I made a few thousand bucks but then the workload just got too heavy and the pay-off wasn’t worth it, so I cashed out and left. It was just around the time when Elance and oDesk were merging (or one bought the other, not sure don’t care) and I kept receiving emails to port my account over to Upwork.

But I was like, nah. I thought it really wasn’t worth all the hours I was putting in on top of a full time job and the obvious Mama duties.

And now how I regret.

It’s been a bad month. I have to get a root canal, which costs RM2,800, and Ayub’s school fees are due, which costs RM6,300.

I spent the day making my freelance profile all over again because my old one was deleted. And they rejected my application.

“We’ve reviewed your profile and currently our marketplace doesn’t have opportunities for your area of expertise.”

What a loser.

So I’m back here, blogging on my site, feeling sorry for myself. Have to find a way to make a few thousand bucks again, real fast. Any suggestions would be great right now thanks.

And here’s my beautiful freelance profile just because ain’t nobody on Upwork gonna see it now:

If anybody wants to hire me, do it. I’m awesome.
