Pagi Rock Crew join KLIA iStyle 2011 (Heat 1)
What’s going on in this picture? Why is there a cheap-ass-looking robot head? Who’s under that robot head? Why does Nadia look constipated? That’s what happens when Pagi Rock Crew become fashion designers. Hmmm…
Last Friday the Pagi Rock Crew and I went to KLIA to join the iStyle Fashion contest. Basically the crew were assigned to make eco-friendly accessories for children out of recycled paper. Prem was originally assigned to be the model as he’s the most childish, while Hafiz and Nadia would be designers. We recruited our pagi rock crew crew to help out during the week. Dan called in and nominated his little sister Yasmin and she was, of course, the most valuable member of the team.
We sat on the floor in the middle of KLIA surrounded by paper, cardboard and all sorts of arts + crafts things. I’m not sure whose idea it was to make a robot head. But we all ended up making a robot head. I did tell them it’s supposed to be accessories for CHILDREN. But nobody listens to me. Ever. Until the end.

Et voila! The PRC Robot. I wish we’d added an eyepatch. But I think he’s still kinda cute. I have videos of Robot Head shuffling and wiggling and doing the robot. Will upload those later when I’m not so lazy… Which might be never.

I later saw the creations of the other designers who are participating… was completely blown away. They made head pieces, handbags, even shoes, out of used paper. Robot head. What a disaster.
