REVIEW: The Cleanwash Multipurpose Water Filter From Clear Living

Let’s be honest, Malaysian tap water is not the best. So I think it’s always a good option to filter what we can.

With four young kids, including a chonky baby, we use a lot of water in this household. Cooking, laundry, mandi time. IT NEVER ENDS. Haha.

So anyway, am so excited to receive the Cleanwash Mutipurpose Water Filter! Here’s my review 🙂

What is the Cleanwash Multipurpose Water Filter?

This filter is suitable for multiple home applications, this includes the washing machine, shower, and kitchen sink (or any sink really). It has high dirt holding capacity, which means you can use the filters for longer before changing to a new one.

Each water filter comes with full accessories for multiple application:

• 1 x water filter housing with Premium Grade cartridge

It’s very easy to install, even a handyman noob like Mr Ninja didn’t have any problems

It only takes five minutes to get everything set up and you’re good to go.

I typically do a full load of laundry 4-5 times a week. Yes, it’s a lot. Clothes, towels, bedsheets and pillowcases, baby cloths, and kain buruk. It definitely feels better knowing the water used to clean our essentials is filtered.

There have been times when I notice the water going into the washing machine is yellowish :(((((

Especially after theres been a water cut… omg the water is sandy and yellow. So gross. #onlyinmalaysia

We also installed another water filter to our water heater

Yellowish water in the washing machine is bad enough, but in the showerrrrr… terrible.

You don’t really notice when you shower. But I notice because I fill up a baby tub twice a day, every day. Sometimes I have to leave the water running for a loooong time before it starts to look clear. On really bad days, I have to use boiled water and drinking water in the tub.

So yes, am SO HAPPY to be able to ensure clean, filtered water in the bathroom 🙂

But does it work? This is what the filter looked like after 1 week of consistent use…

So gross right? Ugh.

This is so random but Mr Ninja says he tasted the filtered water while he mandi and according to him, it tasted “so fresh and clean” LOL.

Disclaimer: DO NOT DRINK THE FILTERED WATER. Duh. My hubby cute but not so smart 🙂
