The Pee Pee Diary (DAY 2 & 3 & 4)

DAY 2
Came home from work at 2 pm to find Ayub still in his pjs and diaper from the night before. Yuck. The maid said he cried for 3 hours from 7am-10am when she and the hubby tried to bathe him. I guess he was scared that they wouldn’t let him wear a diaper. So when I got home, I brought him upstairs and he bathed happily for ages, stinky child. Afterwards I told him how big and clever he is and that it’s ok to not wear diapers anymore. So he wore his clothes without diapers. Was not happy about that at all. Went downstairs and he started crying and asking for a diaper. Screaming and screaming inconsolably. Wouldn’t let anyone touch him. Eventually I gave him a diaper and he wore it and calmed down and did a poop 🙁 Poor baby. I dunno how to convince him to poop in the potty. He’s so dead set against it. Had about four accidents that day. Getting better.

Ayub not at all interested in using the potty I bought him.

DAY 3
My parents were over at the house when I got home. My mama’s been concerned about Ayub’s potty training. So it’s good she was around in the morning to help him. He was all bathed and diaper-free and accident-free too. Brought him to the toilet every 20 minutes or so to pee. Sometimes he did, sometimes he didn’t. He does not like the attention. So no high-fives or announcements that he did good. Used to not wearing a diaper, he didn’t even ask for it anymore. Two accidents. But he’s finally confident to not wear diapers and continue playing as normal which is great.

Ayub says the toddler toilet seat hurts his bum.

DAY 4
One accident. He was too absorbed in a video he was watching. I asked him if he needed to go, he said no. I told him to tell me if he wanted to pee, he said ok. Then he just peed his pants. Argh. I was so frustrated. But he was doing so good up til then. Still doesn’t go to the potty on his own, nor will he tell me if he needs to. The hubby had to go out and was worried he would wet himself coz I was busy, so he put a nappy on him and Ayub came to me crying loudly coz he didn’t want it. I took it off, he went to the toilet and peed by himself. Poor baby.

Super cute Spiderman undies got rejected completely.
