We first brought Ayub to the KL Bird Park when he was a little 1…
A Day At The KL Bird Park Badly Explained And Illustrated With 29-ish Photos & Captions
I love the KL Bird Park. We’ve gone almost every year because it’s so large and beautiful, plus the birds look healthy and happy. (Which is NOT the case for Zoo Negara).
This time we went because I wanted to try and hit 10,000 steps a day (I failed miserably) and because Ibrahim is finally old enough to kinda hang out outdoors and see things and be happy and chonky.
The tickets are so much cheaper for Malaysians than they are for foreigners
It’s so much cheaper that they write the prices in local in BM, which the foreigner price list is in English. I’m assuming. I don’t know if it’s true.
Ticket prices:
Adult (Standard) RM 63.00
Child (Standard) RM 42.00
Adult (with MyKad) RM 25.00
Senior Citizen (with Mykad) RM 6.00
Child (with MyKid) RM 6.00
Isn’t that crazy? I thought that was crazy. If you have a Watsons card you get additional discount, which is nice.
The KL Bird Park is huge
You can spend the whole day there. Morning to evening. Super fun. Very shady so you don’t feel the hot sun. But it’s still hot lah.
Come let’s see inside because I’m already getting lazy to write already
Wow I wrote ‘already’ twice in the same sentence, can you believe I make a living as a writer?
Disclaimer: Mr Ninja was in charge of taking photos today so all the photos suck balls.
1. The love aviary with parakeets and pretty birds
1. This pond that’s really nice but Mr Ninja doesn’t know how to take nice photos
3. Demonic pidgeon
They roam free all over the park. There are signs posted to not engage because they are vicious little bastards.
4. Evil storks. They attack.
5. Awesome pelican. Also attacks.
6. Owls. My favourite.
7. Eagles. Terrifying.
8. Lots of walk. Lots of tree. Lots of bird.
Can I just say, I was SO ANNOYED with Mr Ninja. At the end of the day I checked through my camera roll and there were 200+ pictures of my backside -_-
I do not look good from any angle, but my back is definitely the worst. Stupid husband.
9. Mr Ninja didn’t even care to tell anyone that Aisha’s beautiful face was being blocked
There’s literally five pictures in a row like this.
10. Ayub explaining about how emus will kick you if you disturb them
11. I can’t remember what this dude is but he looks cool
12. We walked around the stream and watched the storks fighting
13. Ohhhh I think this is a scarlet ibis or something like that
14. The peacocks also roam free in the park and like to put on a show
15. Trash bird
Mr Ninja describes these guys as rempit birds. They are.
16. The best way to spend a weekend
17. Alamak I just realised I have another hundred million photos and you’ve probably already given up reading this
18. Haha tough shit, here’s another obnoxious picture of me
19. Ayub loves being outdoors, close to nature, and surrounded by animals
20. You get to feed the birds in this aviary
21. We’re about the quarter of the way through the park. Exhausted.
22. There’s this winding path up where you can kinda see the whole park through the waterfall
23. The children’s favourite spot – the playground!
24. Ooooh this is the view from the playground, you can see the winding path I was talking about if you even bothered to read this far
25. Ibrahim as impressed with me as you are right now
26. The waterfall doesn’t look very impressive but it’s quite pretty actually
27. The kids wanted to watch the bird show so I went for an ice cream run to try and get some steps in
Can you spot them in the crowd?
Huawei zoom win.
Ice cream!
28. Watch this crappy video I made of the bird show yay!
Ya ok I haven’t edited the video yet but I’ll add it in here when I do ok and it will be just as bad as the rest of this blog. Remind me to add the video in here if you still see this past 4 September 2019. Haha.
