So I Made My First Game On Scratch

Hi everyone! You’re probably wondering like, what in the world is Scratch? Well Scratch is another coding thingy. But there’s so many different things to do. You can make super cool games. It’s like Roblox but it’s different. Oh and my name is Hatsmart.

‘Cause it said fart was too inappropriate. Well whatever. It’s fine. I’m gonna tell you more about Scratch now.

When you see the front page there are a lot of different games. It showed you like, most loved and most remixed and all of that stuff. And of course you can search for games. So to create the game you have to press create at the top somewhere at the left.

And I made stuff there. Well with the help of my teacher. On the first session I made a thing. First I made a ladybug with a glow-t and a glow-w. The glow-w didn’t do anything but stand at the same spot forever.

Oh and you can drag the sprites. Yeah. They’re called sprites. I made my ladybug teleport at a random place. And when it touched the glow-t the glow-t went crazy. It did a lot of things at once.

Like spin so fast it’s ridiculous, change it’s color ridiculously fast and last but not least, teleport everywhere ridiculously fast. So it’s pretty ridiculous. But I didn’t share it. And I didn’t do it to the other one.

There would be too many words so I’m gonna tell you about the game that I actually shared.

The next session I made a maze. With levels. WOW. I just copied the maze that teacher made. And the different levels weren’t different sprites but costumes. So the maze had 8 different levels. So 8 different costumes. It was also a 2 player maze game.

And there was the normal cat and the evil cat. He’s purple. Muahahahahahaaaaaa. Purple. And the purple one used I, J, K and L. And the normal one used W, A, S and D. So yeah. And there was a counter. But no level selector. But it had a reset button at least.

So I’m gonna add some other stuff. Like maybe cheat codes. Or maybe more levels and make that level selector. Or not. Or I can make the game a lot more complicated. I can make other gamemodes and like, yeah. I have a lot more to learn…
