Ayub and Sulaiman have been going for weekly LEGO classes at Bricks4Kidz for two years. It’s helped them in lots of different ways, plus it’s just really fun. Ayub won an award for it too.

Anyway, since relocating to Damansara Perdana, Bricks4Kidz has expanded and offers toddler Duplo classes. It is THE CUTEST THING IN THE WORLD.

Aisha’s First Duplo Class

Aisha has never been for any kind of class. She’s never been to a babysitter or daycare. Little girl has always chilled at home, either with me or with her babysitter who comes to the house every day. So this was a BIG DEAL for Aisha.

And she was not interested at all.

She followed Teacher Lisa to class, did a U-turn, and came right back out. So I had to sit next to her for the whole class. Which was fine. It was so cute.

They were learning about camels. Aisha got up and walked out the class saying, “I dowan, I want to play LEGO!” So Teacher Lisa put away the posters and took out the Duplo.

Following Teacher Lisa’s instructions, the tots build their camels. Aisha could kinda follow. It’s tricky. To watch someone place a block on their plate then to copy on your plate. Aisha did awesome.

Aisha has a breakthrough

So today was her third class. She still wanted me to sit with her, but I soon sneaked out while she was busy building. AND SHE DIDN’T CRY OR COME LOOK FOR ME! Awwww…

I wanted to cry hahaha. She’s so big yet still so tiny. And now she doesn’t even need me to stay with her for a 1-hour class. She was super happy to build her snail on her own. (Just a coincidence that she’s wearing the same t-shirt 3 weeks later lol)
