This morning Prem found a puff piece of research from an unknown university that stated…
I don’t know if this happens to other people, but with the Pagi Rock Crew, we always go through food phases. At one time we were eating nasi lemak every morning for breakfast. It lasted maybe two months. From the nasi lemak bungkus packs for RM1.20 to the fancy-pants in a commercialized kopitiam RM10 plates. We were mad. We got crazy fat. The boys, Nadia and I. Fat. I can’t remember why we stopped. Probably Hafiz’s thing with Men’s Health Malaysia where he was put on a stricter diet and exercise regime.
Anyway, when one stops we all stop. Likewise when one starts the other starts. Is it the blind leading the blind? Are we sheep? Or lemmings? Who knows. I love food. We went through a McDs breakfast phase too. Which was both expensive and unhealthy. There was the chee cheong fun phase which I still indulge quite often. But that the boys are sick of.
Currently it’s pau from the canteen and soft boiled eggs from anywhere. The pau is Hafiz, Jo and my thing. BBQ pau. To die for. Mmmm! Had two this morning. Big fat ones. Jo had one by default because Prem doesn’t eat BBQ. The eggs are mostly the boys thing. We go to different restaurants just to try their eggs because apparently it’s different. They’re eggs. Whatever. Yums. I feel hungry just writing this. Hafiz is away today. Prem just left. I’m all alone in the freezing cold studio. Hunny Madu is on air. Jo went home early. Pau. We have a colleague called Pau. I like pau and Pau.
