Dangerous Encounters on Pagi Rock Crew

I haven’t updated in forever because work has been madness and the internet has been an asshole. So anyhoo, last month we had Dr Brady Barr – host of Dangerous Encounters – in the studio for an interview. He was supposed to bring an anaconda and we were gonna get Prem to get over his fear of snakes:

Unfortunately the anaconda was in a bad mood that morning so Brady left him in the hotel room to chill. This is one of my favourite interviews we’ve done. The stories that were told off-air were so much more awesome than what could go on air though. Brady said that they could be in the most remote place on the planet, the middle of nowhere in a desert or deep in the Amazon rainforest, and there would be a team from Discovery channel shooting at exactly the same time. Haha. Brady is not a fan of Discovery. At all. Ooooh the animosity. He said there are two types of people that host animal documentaries – those who are educated and have spent years observing, studying and researching animals, and those who are good showmen in front of the camera.

Dr Barr is one of Hafiz’s heroes – he LOVES animal docs

So random but I’m wearing the top I bought for Phat Fabes when he had to iceskate in drag for a Maggi hotcup promo we did during Pagi Show days.

Another awesome story Brady told off air was when he went to India to catch a killer croc. He said this guy was just a total badass and killed for sport not for food. The croc would jump out of the water and snap the bodies of people into half! Massive huge crocodile. I guess he didn’t wanna tell the story on air because he doesn’t want people who hate crocs to hate them even more. He’s all about conservation.

Added awesomeness to having Nat Geo in the studio is that we all got really cool goodie bags for the first time. I’ll put a pic later. My email is being an ass. But here’s Sulaiman and Ayub enjoying the hat that came in the bag 🙂

I love my boys.

Here’s the goodie bag and its contents. Photo ripped off Jo’s instagram. Follow her @maefurriel. Or follow me @lailazee But I only posts pics of my work babies and home babies. Very the boring. Unless you’re weird or my friend.
