Durian Pulut Cendol And Other Johorean Noms At Bahulu Classiq In TTDI

I saw one comment on Facebook about lontong at Bahulu Classiq in TTDI, so I made everyone go and eat. Haha. None of us even ordered lontong. Next time, next time. Bahulu Classiq is super cute and serves up yummy Johorean food, so of course Mr Ninja is really happy and is already planning to use it as his meet-up place with his bros.

Anyway, here’s Aisha looking adorable at the front of the restaurant.

The Food

Every table gets a plate of kuih bahulu for free. I didn’t get to try any because the kids ate them all. So I suppose it must be very delicious.

Aisha ordered plain pandan nasi lemak.

And thennnn… I had durian cendol haha.

The food is good. It’s not great. I have to say, D’Cengkih is still the best Johor food in TTDI. But Bahulu Classiq is much more affordable. And the food is yummy.

My mee rebus was a bit too prawny for me. I prefer the kuah to be thicker, but it’s just a personal preference thing. And Mr Ninja said his sambal for the soto was all spicy and not enough salty and kick. I dunno what that means. The kids loved their food.

The menu

I’ll go back again and again and again just for the cendol. My durian pulut had no pulut because they ran out of pulut. And the durian paste just isn’t the same as real durian. So, you should probs get a different cendol.

Price range is around RM10 – RM15.

The Ambiance

It’s pretty and spacious and modern. Very comfortable and clean. I love it. Can lepak long time. But there were too many flies. I don’t know if they can do anything about it. But the flies were really annoying. There’s no front door, it’s open concept. So that probably adds to the flies.

Otherwise, super cute!

The Service

Service was great. Time between the first dish arriving and the last dish arriving was a bit long. But otherwise the people were super nice and friendly. So it’s ok. I like.

Oh, the front of the restaurant has a bunch of yummy snacks to eat. See Fatty Bom Bom posing with the snacks. Huhu.

Final Thoughts

I love it. Doesn’t look like much from the outside to be honest. But once you’re in there, it’s so cozy and cute. The food is good. And the prices are great! I like everything.
