One of the most annoying things about being a mother is that you have to…
I Love The Food At Fat Spoon Damansara Utama, But Lots Of People Hate It
I don’t know why people don’t like Fat Spoon. I think it’s yummy. A bit pricey. Portions could be bigger. But otherwise, it’s tasty.
The Food
I always either go for the Moo Moo Bowl or the Claypot Lou Shu Fun. Their stuff is very local but with some twists. They were hipster before hipsters were hipster.
Above pics are of a salmon bowl, my Moo Moo Bowl, spicy macaroni, claypot sampan beef noodles, and springrolls that were supposed to come with ice cream but instead came with chili sauce because they messed up.
I recommend getting either the rice dishes or the noodle dishes and staying away from the Fat Bites. Fat Bites are so expensive and totally not worth the tiny portions you get. Nope. Julie once ordered gizzards for like RM15 and received 3 sticks with 3 diced gizzards around 1cm big on each. If you put those diced gizzards together, you’d get like half a stick of satay. For RM15.
Anyway I love my Moo Moo Bowl. It’s slightly spicy, very filling, and yummeh. I’m too lazy to write. Just look at pictures ok.
Here’s the menu:
Price range is around RM17-25.
I like the food.

The Ambiance
Hipster before hipster was hipster. I think I first ate here 10 years ago when I was working at Fly FM. It was cool then. It’s still cool now.
They’ve updated the interior a lot since the last time. It’s much classier than before. Ya. I like it. Is cute.

The Service
Service is alright. People are nice. They don’t understand Malay or English very well though. Someone asked for “no sayur” and they came to ask what that meant. So we said “no vegetables” and they were like ok. Then the food came with vegetables. So like… I dunno. Also, they got some orders wrong. Like, from their own menu. It’s not that a request was wrong. We ordered the spring rolls with ice cream and they didn’t bring the ice cream.

Final Thoughts
It’s alright. Once in a while I feel like eating a Moo Moo Bowl for real. Mr Ninja is always too lazy to walk all the way there. And. It’s really pricey lah. For a lunch time makan.
