I Wanted To Keep A Diary Of My Pregnancy But Then I Remembered That I’m Lazy

So my last update on Baby #4 was at 6 weeks pregnant. A blink of an eye later I’m 5 months pregnant. Haha. For the past few weeks I’ve been telling people I’m 3 months pregnant. I just did that pregnancy calculator thing online again and yeah, 5 months.

Sorry #4. I do love you, promise. Although, most of the time I kinda forget I am pregnant tbh.

I remember the most when my head is down the toilet and I’m puking up my dinner. That’s when I’m like, hmmm did I take my prenatal vitamins today? Probably not.

Various updates from 6 weeks to 5 months:

1. Still having morning sickness in the evenings, although it’s much more manageable

I puke maybe once or twice a week, instead of once or twice an hour!

2. The muscles in my butt crazy hurt

Google says: “Pregnancy can cause the nerve to become irritated or inflamed. Your expanding uterus can place extra pressure on the sciatic nerve. As you reach your third trimester, your baby’s change in positioning can rest on the nerve directly in your buttocks area. This can cause butt pain”

For real man, butt pain. It can be EXCRUCIATING. And nobody takes you seriously because it’s your freakin butt.

Baby #4 at less than 3 months or something

3. My nails have become super shiny

Like buffed and manicured shiny! I’m too lazy to take a picture. But with Gowri as my witness, I swear my nails are super shiny.

4. I look like a potato

It’s mostly fat and like 1% baby.

5 months pregnant update

POTATO-OH-OHHHH!

5. Really itchy and annoying eczema all over my neck

The worst! I look like I’ve been infected with some zombie virus. But it’s since gotten better. First trimester just sucks in general I think. Second is a happier time 🙂

6. So tired and weak

I once carried a very fat 2-year-old Sulaiman from the beginning til the end of umrah. Close to 20kgs in my arms for over 2 hours. No sweat. Now I carry teeny weeny 10kg Aisha for 10 seconds and my back, arms, and legs feel like they’re going to fall off.

7. I cry all the time

ALL. THE. TIME. I watched Moana by myself and cried myself silly from start to finish. Like from the very first song I was crying. It wasn’t even supposed to be sad. It wasn’t sad at all. And I cried because it was so beautiful to me omg.

There was this video on FB of a hearing-impaired baby getting hearing aids for the first time and I cried. Another video of an elderly man with Down Syndrome reuniting with his dad after spending a week apart, I cried. A little black girl getting adopted by her foster family, cried.

I read a Buzzfeed article, cried. Ayub played and laughed with his friends, cried. Sulaiman won an award at school, cried. Aisha cried, cried. Thought about that time I cried, cried.

It’s so annoying.

K I'm not crying here but I did get free ice cream so that was nice.

That’s all I can think of. All in all, pregnancy is going well alhamdulillah. Just tired. Hard to sleep. Pee a lot. I started pooping regularly again though which is really nice. Thanks Baby #4. We’re halfway there!
