Oh. My. God. I finally made money off this blog. Like for real. All these…
Making Money Online In Malaysia With 8Share
I don’t know why I didn’t write a post about this earlier. It kinda slipped through the cracks I suppose. I’m forever looking for a way to make money online, from home, passive income, all that jazz and 8share is a really easy way.
What is 8share?
“8Share is a private rewards club for social media users who like getting free stuff, earning extra cash every month, and being the first to introduce something new.”
Blah blah blah. It’s like an affiliate program, except instead of promoting the same product on a long term basis, you share stories, quizzes, surveys, articles on your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or any other social media platform you want. For every click you receive on something you’ve shared, you’ll receive 20sen.
Not much, but it’s all about quantity. And because there are new things to share everyday, it’s pretty easy to make money on this platform. Especially if you’re the kind of person who shares a lot of articles on Facebook anyway.
Who can join 8share?
“Anyone who loves sharing cool stuff with their friends via social media! 8Share is now in Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia.”
It’s free and easy-peasy.
How do I make money online with 8share?
Once you create your account, click on the Specials tab and you’ll see like a list of ongoing campaigns. Most of these are stories from SAYS.com, surveys from brands doing market research, quizzes, or landing pages for specific promos (for example an AirAsia sale).
You get a unique link with your ID attached to it. So when you share on Facebook, Twitter, or wherever, your link will be tracked. Every time someone clicks on your link, you’ll get 20sen in your 8share account. You gotta reach the minimum threshold of RM50 to cash out.
So share a lot. Get clicks. Get paid. You don’t have to do much. The stories are pretty good. But of course, I’m totally biased because it’s me and my team that writes most of those stories. Nyahahaha. So fucking just share and click on the links goddamit >_<
What else can I get through 8share?
You can get BP (bonus points), which you can redeem for stuff. Depends on what they’re running at that point in time. Right now it’s a starbucks card worth RM50 and a Nandos voucher worth RM30. Plus exclusive merch and stuff. It really depends.
And I’m sure you get other stuff too but I’m too lazy to check. You can check here.
How much money have I made?
Not much tbh. But really that’s because I’m not a very active social media user. My friends and colleagues who share several stories on a daily basis cash out weekly. I’ve got a long way to go 😛
Yeah, I’ve only shared two stories. And both of them were stories I wrote. I’m the worst! (But at the same time, the best.)
Anyway, the more money you want, the more you should share. As simple as that. My total to date is like RM5. (Oh, you get RM1 for every survey you take, and more when someone else fills out the survey you shared.) EASY MONEY!

Full transparency: I write for SAYS.com and 8share is under the same parent company – RevAsia. Plus, if you sign up through me and start sharing stuff, I think I get RM1 or something? I’m not sure. But yeah, you can sign up and ask your friends to sign up and when they sign up you get paid too. I think it’s a win-win-win situation all round 😀
