Social Media is killing socializing

I went out with Jo Beans for breakfast at Lavendar the other day. Once we sat down she took out her phone and started playing Scramble. Once she was done with that she checked Twitter and tweeted that she was with me having breakfast at Lavendar. After that she went to Facebook to look at her news feed. And finally she went to Instagram to post a picture of Lavendar.

Ok. That’s an exaggeration. But she did play Scramble. Until I huffed and puffed and posted this picture of her socializing with strangers online instead of me on Twitter. Then she stopped and stared at me with a gorilla grin.

The day Super Kampung Style hit 1 million views the whole team went out for lunch. Adam made us stack up all our phones and tablets at the end of the table while we ate. And for the first time we all had a conversation. We found out that Ben is finally having a wedding reception, even though he’s been married for 2 years plus. It was fun. I love the team.
