We saw the signboard for a new restaurant opening soon in TTDI called Super Saigon.…
Super Sedap Breakfast And Johorean Food At D’Cengkih In TTDI
Mr Ninja is Johorean. He’s very annoying about it. Johoreans in general are quite annoying about being Johorean. My mother is. My cousins are. Mr Ninja. Annoying.
Anyway, luckily there’s D’Cengkih in TTDI to satisfy Mr Ninja’s Johorean foodie cravings. It’s SO GOOD. And quite expensive for nasi campur. But SO GOOD. I don’t know anybody who doesn’t love D’Cengkih. We don’t go there often because parking is a nightmare. Otherwise we’d probably eat here once a week.
The Food
I don’t know if they have a menu where you can order a la carte. Hmmm… I could probably Google it, but why don’t you do that instead. They have a huuuuge spread of lauk Johor. See all my beautiful pictures.
Nasi campur
Oh, and this was just their breakfast spread. It’s even more majestic at lunch time.
Kuih-kuih
Is that how you spell it? I dunno. I only know how to eat. Just let me live.
There is a LOT of stuff but I shy to take so many pictures ok. People stare at me.
Lontong Johor
Seriously so good, guys. Full of ingredients, big fat helping of veggies and giant cubes of tempeh and loads of sambal and coconut stuff. Mmmmmm!
Happy Mr Ninja. Omnomnom. You know, he was complaining for weeks that he wanted to eat lontong for breakfast. So when we finally had it this morning, he was like mmm yummm soooo gooood. Then I looked down at his plate once he was done, and he had only eaten the nasi himpit and left everything else.
“I don’t eat sayur.”
Tak guna punya jantan.
Our breakfast was RM25 for two bowls of lontong, some cekodok and curry puff, and two drinks. Expensive. Lol. But so yummeh.
For nasi campur, I think like rice + 2 veg + 1 fish = RM18 ish :O

The Ambiance
Oh, it’s not cute inside. It’s just normal looking. I forgot to show you this island thing where you can get laksa Johor and soto and mee rebus Johor. And they also have ubi rebus, which is delicious. And some pisang thing I forget the name but I like that too. Like a pancake. What’s it called?
The restaurant itself is pretty dark and hot. I think on weekends it becomes like an open mic thing. You can go karaoke for fun. It’s fun. It’s a neighbourhood makan place.

The Service
Self-service, pay before you eat. All good. Drinks and everything comes out fast. Super friendly people. Love it.

Final Thoughts
I LOVE IT. Just that it’s pretty pricey and there’s no parking. But otherwise it’s totally worth it.
