We love LEGO. So I was really excited when I found out about BLOKKE. A…
The LEGO-Themed Playhouse At BLOKKE In Citta Mall Is Every Kid’s Dream Come True
This is part two of our review of BLOKKE Cafe | Playhouse | Labs 🙂 For part one, a review of the BLOKKE Cafe, click here!
As I mentioned in my previous blog post, there was no one to help us out when we entered BLOKKE and wanted to purchase tickets for the playhouse. But it’s ok.
Here’s all you have to do:
- Fill out a little form at the counter
- Pay at the counter
- Bring your receipt to the playhouse and ring the bell then wait until someone notices you exist so you can get wristbands for the kids and they can go play
Hmm that came off really passive aggressive but it wasn’t really a big deal haha.
Anyway, it’s a very cute play area.
There are four main playhouse areas
The space is PERFECT for toddlers and I would say kids under 7. It’s spacious but small. Nowhere near the size of Jungle Gym @ Atria or even Dreamworld Playland @ Starling. So if you have older kids, I don’t recommend this playground UNLESS it’s a weekday and there aren’t a lot of children.
Ayub is 9. I felt he was too big for this playground. When he gets excited, he jumps around and gets a little rough. It can be dangerous for little ones around him. I was constantly having to get him to calm down and play more gently. He still had a great time but ended up jumping on Aisha’s leg so we left shortly after that.
The construction site includes a cute pulley to carry your giant LEGO bricks up
Ayub and Sulaiman were here forever. Loading up bricks into a bucket and using the pulley to pull it up. Such simple thrills!
Is this monkey island? Lol. I don’t know.
It’s just a cute little house with a fun slide.
The giant slide, ball pit, and trampoline were the kids’ favourite play areas
There’s this cute little climbing wall that connects to a big slide into the ball pit on the left. On the right side is a small bridge that leads to a mini trampoline.
The kids really REALLY love the ball pit. Ball pits are the best. They spent most of the time swimming in the ball pit. Aisha still talks about the ball pit. She wants to go back to the ball pit. We should probably invest in a ball pit. Ball. Pit.
The trampoline was a huge hit. It ok when there are not many kids around. But once it gets closer to lunch time, oh my, it’s packed. Had to make sure Ayub didn’t jump in there with the toddlers otherwise the tiny ones would go flying.
The fire station had a pole to slide down
Lots of toys to play with, including bouncy balls and tricycles
Everything is in really good condition, I suppose because it’s all relatively new. It’s a toddler paradise.
Duplo walls on every playhouse
The party space
I wonder if they close the playhouse area when they have a birthday party. I can’t imagine the mayhem of so many kids playing in that area haha. I would LOVE to throw a birthday party here for either Sulaiman or Aisha. It looks sooooo cute and fun.
Cleanliness and Hygiene
BLOKKE is very clean. However I feel they can be a little stricter with health and safety. I’m used to indoor playgrounds like this taking children’s temperatures before allowing them in, and also making kids use hand sanitiser.
I think it’s something BLOKKE should consider doing. It’s all very hands-on with the many DUPLO bricks. It would be far too easy for the flu to get spread. We all know how grubby little kids are.
Service and staff
Hmmm… the staff are nice but not very helpful or particularly friendly? I mean, there was only one lady on duty at the play area. She was not always at the front door and you need someone to buzz you in and out. So often times, we would be standing around waiting for her to open the door for us to either exit or enter.
There is NO ONE in the play area to keep an eye on the kids. I suppose it’s ok because it is rather small. But I think it would be good to have a member of staff there, to make sure the kids are playing appropriately, not climbing up the slide, taking turns, not throwing balls all over the place. The parents are around of course, but when you have more than one child, it’s hard to watch them all at the same time.
See in that red poster they say there is a Playhouse Police. In the playhouse there is a cute little pondok police, which I assume one of the staff would sit in to keep watch on the place. But the whole time we were there, there wasn’t anyone watching the play area.
Pricing
Weekdays:
- Â RM25 for kids 2-12 years old
- Adults FOC
Weekends & Public Holidays:
- RM30 for kids 2-12 years old

Very very affordable. I would say it’s actually really cheap. And unlimited play time. So it’s definitely worth it. Great place to bring the kids on a weekend to play then have lunch. LOVE IT.

BLOKKE is lovely. A great concept that is executed perfectly. I definitely think 12 is a bit too old for the playhouse, I would love to see them expand (even more!) to make a HUGE playhouse for older kids away from the little ones. But for now, I think it’s brilliant.
I really wanted to speak to someone regarding the classes, especially THIS:
BLOKKE.THERAPY
BLOKKE.Labs is also the first to bring LEGO-Based Therapy for Autism to Asia, receiving training and support from the founder of LEGO-Based Therapy himself, Dr Daniel LeGoff. That support helped BLOKKE.Labs develop BLOKKE.Therapy, a next-level pioneering LEGO-Based Therapy programme, in collaboration with the National Autism Society of Malayssia (NASOM) and supported by Bank Rakyat.
But unfortunately there’s like no one to speak to. Ahhh… BLOKKE is totally let down by the staff’s lack of training. If not for the website, there is no way you would know about the classes because there is no one to help you haha.
Here’s a cute picture of me and Aisha because this is my blog and I can do whatever I want.
