There’s Something Fishy About The S.E.A. Aquarium At Resorts World Sentosa

Do you like my punny headline? After taking pictures with the Universal Studios globe we made our way to the S.E.A. Aquarium for a guided tour.

Watch this crappy video I made:

Our last meal had been some 7-8 hours before at KLIA2. The fish all looked really tasty. Gowri and our video producer were salivating over the thought of ikan bakar as they watched the stingrays glide through the water. I was ready to take a bite out of the enormous fat yellowfin tuna that was zooming around the giant enclosure. Anyway, the tour was fantastic. Here’s our awesome guide Charmaine, trying her best to teach us stuff:

Lemme see if I actually remember stuff.

This is a moray eel, I think, and it’s a fish

I don’t remember what else our guide, Charmaine, said about these dudes. They’re not electric. Oh, and their skin is coated in mucus that protects them from getting cut and grazed when they hide between rocks. Poor unfortunate souuuuuls…

Nurse sharks like to stack and are fat

Charmaine says she called them “gemok.” They are seriously fat. They don’t eat other fish because they’re already super well-fed on schedule.

They created a shipwreck for some reason. I forget why.

The habitat is huuuuuuge. Charmaine said something about plankton or that other stuff that grows on shipwrecks that creates a source of food for fish or something. And they like to hide in the wreck. And they took a number of years for this to be created. I would make a terrible marine guide.

I found Dory

I only just watched ‘Finding Dory’ a couple weeks ago with Aisha and I was bawling when she got reunited with her parents like Pixar you guys omg.

There are three dolphins

I’ve never seen dolphins up close before. It kinda made me sad to see them in their enclosure. There was a mama and her baby, they swam everywhere together.

Sea jellies are dope

TIL jellyfish are actually called sea jellies because they aren’t actually fish.

Sea dragons are also dope

Just like seahorses, male sea dragons carry their babies. But instead of keeping them in a pouch, they carry them on their backs.

This alligator fish dude has been around since the time of the dinosaurs

He’s pretty ugly. Looks like a platypus from the front and an alligator from the side.

It is incorrect to call these dudes starfish

They’re actually called sea stars. I think it sounds magical.

This crab is enormous

I’m getting bored of writing this. You must be getting bored of reading this. Kudos to you if you’re still with me.

Here we are posing in front of stuff

I think that’s the super fat yellowfin tuna I was talking about wanting to bite a chunk out of. Ok that’s all bye.
