We saw the signboard for a new restaurant opening soon in TTDI called Super Saigon.…
DIY Kits From Super Saigon, La Juiceria & Hawker Hall
La Juiceria has DIY Sahur Kits for Ramadan. They are big and hearty meals that are actually perfect for buka puasa. We ate all of it for buka puasa.
I’m not a big sahur eater. But it’s very useful for families because everything is pre-cooked and nicely packed so you just have to heat up and eat. Nom nom.
Here are the three kits we tried:
1. Super Saigon Kit
- Pho beef
- Kuey teow
- Beef
- Sate sauce
2. Hawker Hall Kit
- Aromatic briyani
- Ayam madu masak merah
- Dhal
3. La Juiceria Superfoods Kit
- Bbq chicken thigh
- Lettuce

Now look at all the pretty food!
1. Beef Pho from Super Saigon
Pretty food pictures all from Ihsan because my pictures ugly. Follow him on Instagram.
Verdict:
Our family favourite. We had two helpings each and there were still leftovers. Beef was a bit hard and chewy. Maybe they should just give it to us raw then we can cook it ourselves? Delicious. I love it. 10/10 recommend.
Preparation instructions:
This is what it looks like pre-cooked, vacuum-packed, and frozen
The beef mmmmm
The soup
The kueh teow
The sate sauce (doesn’t need it imo but Mr Ninja likes it)
I don’t know what this is but I suppose you add it to the soup. I didn’t 🙂 Maybe it’s chili. It looks like rojak sauce though.
2. BBQ Chicken Thighs from La Juiceria
Pretty food pictures all from Ihsan because my pictures ugly. Follow him on Instagram.
Look at how extra Ihsan is taking pictures like this ish.
Verdict:
I loved the chicken. Tender, juicy, flavourful. It’s a bit sad to eat on it’s own with salad. So I made them into wraps with soft tortillas. Added Greek yoghurt with salt and pepper. Plopped in some sliced tomatoes. Stuffed with the salad leaves. Much much tastier and satisfying.
BBQ chicken – 6/10 (tastes nice but so boring, maybe only healthy people like it, i am fat people. Should have a gravy or something.)
Salad – 1/10 (expensive for just three lil heads of lettuce. No dressing, no cherry tomatoes, no shredded carrots, no croutons. Nothing. Buy your own from supermarket)
Preparation instructions:
What it looks like when delivered
BBQ Chickennnn. There were like six thighs in there. Yums.
Sad salad. I recommend to get the chicken and skip the salad.
3. Beriyani rice with ayam madu masak merah from Hawker Hall
Pretty food pictures all from Ihsan because my pictures ugly. Follow him on Instagram.
Verdict:
The chicken is delicious. The rice was dry and broken. Helping is huge so I kept it in the fridge. It went basi after two days. Sad.
Ayam madu masak merah – 10/10
Beriyani rice – 5/10
Dhal – idk it’s dhal. Dhal is boring.
Preparation instructions:
All the kits are pre-cooked, vacuum packed, and frozen
Nasi biryani. It looks like not much but seriously enough to feed 10 people.
I think this is my favourite thing. The ayam madu masak merah. So yummy.
Dhal
