[DAY 4] Family Holiday In Thailand: Homeward Bound From Phuket To Kuala Lumpur
Welcome to our last day of our first family holiday to Phuket in Thailand! Day one was all about travelling and the Windmill Phuket Hotel, day two was the most “cultural” we got when we visited the Phuket Weekend Market, day three was spent in a children’s amusement park called Rawai Park, and this day was all about going home.

Saying goodbye to the Windmill Phuket Hotel
The Windmill Phuket Hotel was a really lovely boutique hotel and I totally recommend it, especially to families with younger kids. Quiet, comfortable, and with very spacious family rooms.
It cost around RM400 a night for a two-bedroom family suite that included one king size bed and two single beds. Bathtub, shower, large living area, pantry etc.
The best part was the swimming pool. We are swimming pool people. It was very big and clean and had a spacious toddler area too. The hotel restaurant wasn’t too pricey and the food was decent.
But wait, I have to show you the super sad English breakfast they served me:
Hahahaha. Breakfast came with the room. They set up a small spread of fried meehood or fried rice, fresh fruits, cereal, yoghurt, and some local kueh (that looks a lot like our kueh). Then you order your main dish from the menu (all inclusive with your breakfast, no extra charge).
So this was the English breakfast set that I ordered.
Anyway, the kids and I spent the morning swimming while Mr Ninja packed our bags. Then it was time to check out.
Oh, Aisha.
Hanging out at the airport
Aisha fell asleep on the way to the airport and didn’t wake up for hours. Exhausted little human.
There was a huge like billboard thingy in the middle of the airport and around it were these little kiosks where you can either take a photo or a gif of yourself, and it gets posted on the billboard.
At one point every image on the board was of Ayub and Sulaiman haha.
Come layan some of the kids’ gifs:
Aisha on the plane
Baby girl was absolutely the cutest on the airplane. She fell asleep almost instantly when we flew from KL to Phuket, so she missed out on the whole flying experience. But on the way home she was awake throughout.
She was absolutely tickled to have her own tv screen and headphones.
She watched bits and pieces of animated movies and TV shows but wasn’t really into anything in particular. When the stewards came around the give out food, she was so excited she actually ate (she never eats).
Even now she talks about how she ate a muffin on the airplane haha.
And she talked non-stop. “Mama, are we flying?” “Mama, is this my seatbelt?” “Mama, let’s sing ABCD… A-B-C-D-E-F-Geeeeee…” “Mama, have we reached yet?” “Mama, are we in an airplane?” “Mama, Mama, Mama…”
The man sitting next to her kept smiling and awwww-ing at her.
Anyway, we reached KLIA in the evening and took a Grab home and that was the end of our holiday.
Oh, here’s a picture of Jeremy posing with the Thai snacks I brought back for the office:
