We had team lunch at L.Table in 1Utama. Previously it was attached to the Lavender bakery but now it’s a whole new corner lot on its own (it took over Pappa Rich lol). It’s very pretty. The food is basically the same.

The Food

Most of us ordered their set lunch, which comes with a lot of choices. Everyone gets a started of wild mushroom soup with garlic bread.

This is my meat sandwich thing. Omg. I asked the waiter for mustard and he was like wtfffff and we were like MUS-TAAARD… the yellow sauce? And he came back with exactly the same little dish of spicy aioli or whatever that orange thing is. Sandwich would have been ace with mustard.

I don’t know what this is but Murni had like two bites and Ihsan ate the rest because she’s Timon and he’s Pumbaa.

Oooh Gowri had this cheese and ham ciabatta sandwich, which looks super delish and I’m totally ordering this next time. It would also need mustard.

Spaghetti with clams? Idk. Looks good. Jude barely ate. She’s a twiglet.

This is Jeremy’s salmon and broccoli sandwich. I would order this next time actually. Was it nice Jeremy? “Ya it was,” says Jerms. “The fries were nice.”

I have no recollection of this dish. I like mushrooms.

Then we all got this tiny caramel panna cotta for dessert and it was super rich and divine.

Super duper filling meal. Oh, you get to choose from a variety of drinks too. Jerms ordered the milk tea with herbal jelly. They don’t provide fat straws. So he used his own metal straw. And he was so weird about it.

Wow, I just realised how expensive it is. Company paid so we were all yolo. If we had to pay for our own meals, we wouldn’t go to L.Table.

The new restaurant is really classy and pretty.

The Service

The service is not great because I asked for mustard and the guy didn’t understand what that was and didn’t bother asking someone else and so he didn’t bring me mustard and instead brought me the exact same sauce I already had and I wouldn’t even mind if they just didn’t have mustard but they should have said sorry we don’t have mustard and I’m so sad about my mustard. Service was ok. The waiters speak neither Malay nor English.

Final Thoughts

The place is pretty, the food is yummy, the price is expensive. The Lavender bakery is still one of my favourites though. I bought the kids these super cute Halloween sugar cookies.

They look nicer than they taste though. Like, a LOT nicer. They taste pretty bleurgh. But I don’t like sugar cookies anyway.

No, that’s not true. Ihsan had a sugar cookie station set up and they were delicious. I ate a lot of them. The ugly heart with sprinkles is mine.
