Malaysia’s First Ever Pokémon Festival Is Happening Right Now In Resorts World Genting
There is a POKEMON FESTIVAL happening RIGHT NOW in Resorts World Genting. We have to go. It’s Malaysia’s first ever Pokémon Festival and it’s in Resorts World Genting.
What is the Pokemon Festival all about?
It’s basically just a crazy celebration of all things Pokemon. This includes the world’s tallest Pokemon Christmas tree, a giant inflatable Pikachu, Pokemon parades, and special challenges for budding trainers.

What is there to do?
Spread throughout the halls of SkyAvenue this holiday, you’ll be able to interact with iconic Pokemon. From life-sized figurines to a massive 6-metre tall Pikachu, your kids will love you forever for bringing them here.
You can enjoy the Pokemon Christmas tree, which is a 40-foot tall spectacle that’s lit up and adorned with the likes of Pikachu, Charmander, Snorlax, Eevee and more!
There will be dance stages with Pikachu performances
Pikachu Parade will be taking place at various times daily on Level 1 of SkyAvenue mall, featuring 8 life-sized dancing Pikachus. The parade will take place at selected times and dates.
- For Christmas, the parade will be a winter-themed extravaganza, with Santarina, Giant Xmas Balls, and elves on two mini-floats.
- For Chinese New Year, the parade switches to a raucous red-and-gold celebration.

Special quests to catch ’em all!
Live up to the Pokémon motto – gotta catch ‘em all! – and track down all 32 of the creatures. These special characters will be unveiled in 4 stages:
- Level 3, SkyAvenue (1 December 2018 onwards)
- Level 2, First World Plaza (15 December 2018 onwards)
- Symphony Stage, Level 1, SkyAvenue (10 January 2018 onwards)
Shop at the Pokemon Pop-Up store of official merch
The Pokémon Pop-Up store is located at Level 3 of SkyAvenue Mall, the store will feature a huge array of premium merchandise and memorabilia imported directly from the Pokémon Centre in Tokyo, Japan. It’s the perfect place to pick up a present for Christmas or prepare for the festivities of Chinese New Year for lovers of Pokémon.
At Vision City, make sure you collect all different Pokémon TRETTA chips & get limited free tretta chips from Pokémon Pop-Up Store on a first come, first served basis.
