Our First Walk Outdoors After 48 Days Of MCO

There’s not much to say. It’s been 48 days since we left the house. 48 days since we went to the park. The little ones go to the park almost every day for a walk and to play.

With CMCO announced, we couldn’t wait for Monday.

Shoes on for the first time in 48 days!

Ayub and Sulaiman slept in. They’ve been waking up late because of sahur and subuh. So it was just me and the two littles.

Ibrahim walked for less than 2 minutes before asking to be carried.

Ibrahim was so excited to put on his shoes but once we were outside, he was so apprehensive. I think he forgot what it was like to be outdoors. He was a little scared. Clung to my legs and put his little arms up to be carried. So I carried him the whole morning as we walked around the park.

Funny how fast small ones forget. Or rather, how fast they adapt and go with the flow. The most resilient of us all I think.

Side track but back in January, Aisha, Ibrahim and I all came down with conjunctivitis. The antibiotics I had to take were not breastfeeding-friendly. So I had no choice but to stop nursing for five days.

He was scared to be outdoors.

The first three days, Ibrahim cried and pulled at my top to get to his boobies. By the sixth day, I lifted my top and popped a boob out for him… and he just stared blankly.

Usually he’d come running with his mouth open like :O

He had completely forgotten how to breastfeed. I had to teach him again. It was so weird. Had to wait for him to be lazy and lying down and distracted, before popping my boob in his mouth haha. Even then, he stared at me like wtf wat u do.

It took a few tries but he’s happily back to boobing again.

Aisha so pretty!

I probably should have just been happy to wean him so easily. He was falling asleep on his own at night. But I dunno. He’s my last baby.

The last baby to ever breastfeed. Something super special about breastfeeding. I love snuggling with him and smelling his hair and kissing his head and holding his hand. Can’t do that when the baby’s not attached at the boob haha. They just be rolling and squirming and not at all interested in long cuddles like that.

I love smelling his little baby curls of hair.

This was supposed to be about our first walk in the park after MCO.

Hah.

Ok that’s all bye.
