Qhabeli Rice, Chicken Dumplings, And More From The Picha Project
I don’t know how this came about because Jude already explained to me but I have pregnant brain and I’m old so I literally have no recollection of why this was a thing but it was and it was great.
Picha Project came to RevAsia to set up a pop-up lunch stall and it was FANTASTIC.
Here was the menu of the day:
1. Qhabeli Rice and Curry Chicken
The rice was SO GOOD. I don’t like raisins and this rice had raisins but I liked this rice because of the raisins. Juicy fat sweet raisins. I could just eat the whole mountain of rice on its own tbh. It was crazy delicious.
2. Chicken Dumplings
The herbs that they use with the chicken makes these dumplings super flavourful and fresh. I could eat another mountain of these too.
3. Flatbread stuffed with Mashed Potatoes
This was like everybody’s favourite thing. Flatbread stuffed with mashed potatoes. And not like boring mashed potatoes. Herby, seasoned, super tasty mashed potatoes. I am so bad at describing things but it was really yummy.
4. Chocolate Cupcakes
The perfect treat to end your meal! Not to sweet, just right, simple chocolatey moist little cupcake.
They were also giving away samples of hummus and doing a survey on whether or not to introduce it to their menu. I didn’t take a picture because I was too busy stuffing my face. But I really hope they add the Garlic Parsley Hummus to the menu because it was unbelievably fresh and tasty. Just an explosion of flavour in your mouth. I could eat the whole pot on its own.
So I ate everything
Superrrrr filling. #noregrets.
The Picha Project Meal Box Delivery
So prior to the super awesome pop-up Picha, we ordered Picha Project Meal Box Delivery. We ordered Syrian Chicken Biryani and Afghan Basmati rice with Chicken Curry.
Again, so much flavour. I cannot get over the rice. I don’t even need the chicken. I could just eat boxes and boxes of the rice on its own.
I 100% recommend Picha Project. It’s so delicious AND it’s for a great cause!
